Recent Housing Connection Developments
Having busied itself over several years with the addition of properties to meet a growing demand, the Housing Connection has recently devoted much effort to assessing and consolidating its structure. Here are some key results:
- Working with the DD Board to craft legally independent status.
- Devising a new management structure led by TAC Enterprises staff.
- Instituting a systematic maintenance program.
- Recalculating rents to meet fiscal targets and HUD guidelines while safeguarding tenant needs.
- Completing our first new houses, with construction provided by Clark County JVS students.
- Devising a Statement of Expectations for residential care providers.
Basically, the Housing Connection has arrived at a state in which it not only works hard to provide the housing that our constituents need but also works in a more organized and professional manner to ensure the most effective management of its charge to both tenants and taxpayers.
