Employment, habilitation, health and community services for individuals with substantial developmental or physical disabilities.
Organizational employment services are designed to provide paid work for individuals.
- Facility-based Employment offers paid employment and a supported work environment that allows individuals to learn and refine competitive work skills in a variety of assembly, inspection, packaging and collating tasks.
- Community Employment places individuals in paid employment within the community. Opportunities for both paid and unpaid work experience help participants to develop job skills and work maturity which lead to greater inclusion in the community.
The following services are designed to assist individuals in choosing and achieving a life of increasing capabilities so they can live, work and spend leisure time in the community.
- Habilitation: provides individuals the opportunities to participate in activities as an alternative to work. Individuals may take part in computer training, money and social skills, arts and crafts, adult daily living skills and other individually tailored programs. Individuals also have the opportunity to participate in functional academics to improve their reading, writing and math skills.
- Community Inclusion: individuals are encouraged to explore their community choices to discover a place where they can better connect with the community. Leisure time and volunteer placements are developed based on the interests of individuals to involve them in the community.
- Nursing Services: licensed nurses provide a wide variety of nursing services, within the scope of nursing practice and in accordance with the individual's plan. The nurse is assisted by other trained personnel.
