Air Cargo Nets
In the late 1950’s a pallet and support system was developed and officially incorporated by the United States Air Force in April 1963. Parts of this system are the cargo nets used to secure the cargo to the 463L pallet.
These nets consist of:
- Top Net: NSN 1670-00-969-4103, HCU-15C
- Side Net: NSN 1670-00-996-2780, HCU-7E
- Low Profile Side Net: NSN 1670-01-603-0034, HCU-7A/E
We’re Proud To Be The Sole Source Supplier Of These Nets To The USAF
TAC Enterprises is proud to be the sole source supplier of these nets to the United States Air Force. Since 1984 TAC Enterprises has performed a vital defense operational role by repairing damaged air cargo nets to like-new condition.
In 2005 TAC Enterprises became the sole source supplier to the United States Air Force for new air cargo nets as well as the repaired nets. This system is used on the C-5, C-17, C-27, CH-47, C-9, and C-130 aircraft. This system, utilizing our nets has been effective at moving large amounts of cargo for decades.
Our nets are a crucial component of the airlift portion of the Defense Transportation System. During routine operations they maximize available airlift capability and reduce aircraft ground time by allowing for buildup prior to aircraft arrival.
