Transportation

We have a fleet of transport vehicles driven by a team of compassionate and friendly drivers who help to start and end the day with a smile.

The Abilities Connection (TAC) offers non-medical transportation.

In 2013, TAC began offering transportation services to second shift individuals. This expanded into day shift routes. By the end of 2019, TAC offered full transportation services to individuals working at TAC, as well as many employed in the community.

In 2023, TAC was awarded a contract with RidesPlus, granting TAC the ability to provide transportation services to and from medical appointments, employment, childcare, or other social services programs to eligible individuals. This service is available from 5:00 am – 12:00 midnight Monday through Saturday, excluding Federal Holidays.

2020 Community Impact Award Winner

In March 2020, Springfield faced an unmet need when the South Limestone street Kroger closed, resulting in a food desert for the residents in that area of the community. TAC worked with the City of Springfield and the Clark County-Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee to provide a free shuttle service to another Kroger store, providing much needed access to food and groceries for residents impacted. As a result of this partnership, TAC was awarded a Community Impact Award from the Ohio Public Transit Association.
