Springfield, OH (May 15, 2020) –The Abilities Connection (TAC) will continue its partnership with the City of Springfield to offer a free shuttle service from the former South Limestone Kroger location to its current East Main Street store through June 3, 2020.
“It’s been an honor to serve the wonderful people of Springfield,” said TAC CEO Jim Zahora. “This shuttle demonstrates how well the community can rally together to solve problems.”
The effort was launched earlier this year to provide area residents access to fresh food following the closure of the South Limestone Kroger store.
TAC has provided shuttle service from the former Kroger location to the existing store at East Main Street twice a day, three days a week since March 7. Kroger funded the shuttle service provided by TAC.
The City of Springfield and TAC partnered to provide the shuttle service for 90 days following the closure of the South Limestone Kroger store in March. The final shuttle service will take place on Wednesday, June 3. Prior to that, the shuttles will continue to run on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
